5 Best Places to Travel for the Adventurous in 2022

The past couple of years have been rough for many people. Beginning with the pandemic, many people put a hold on their travel plans and seemed to hunker down. This wasn’t necessarily an unwise decision, but the world seems to be moving again, even if it’s slowly. This truth has got many people around the world with wanderlust booking tickets for flights or traveling around their home country, even if it’s just to see their own families that they’ve longed to embrace for the longest.

It’s important to take time out of your busy schedule and travel every now and then, and the beginning of 2022 would be a great time to do it. Again, travel plans are beginning to be made again and you’re likely to find some great deals on plane tickets and travel expenses if you look hard enough. Now, since many people have still been playing it safe in 2021, most of them are probably going to be feeling a little more adventurous in 2022. All of the safety measures that they’ve been taking have created a desire in them to want to live on the edge a bit. If that’s you, here are the five best places to travel in 2022 if you’re feeling a bit more adventurous.

1. Sicily, Italy

Many travelers have Italy on their bucket list, and there’s a reason. Italy is quite the dream vacation, filled with some of the best food, charming places and Mediterranean beaches. For example, you’ll want to see the Turkish steps near Agrigento. For centuries, the wind and rain have caused the natural landscape of the cliffs by this beach to turn into actual steps that you can climb and use to access the beach. Of course, you’ll find that crystal-clear blue water and white sand, as well.

2. Queensland, Australia

Queensland is becoming more and more popular, as people are beginning to see how major cities can be so close to tropical paradise. Queensland has so much to offer, but its biggest draw card is the landscape. Queensland is home to beaches, rainforests and coral reefs (the biggest coral reef in the world in fact), but still has a few major cities with bustling nightlife and food scene. Travelling to Queensland you can go sailing Whitsundays with Wings to explore the Whitsunday Islands before they take you to the Great Barrier Reef. Or you can explore Brisbane city, the Gold Coast, Cairns or Townsville.

3. Sedona, Arizona

Most people venture off to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon at the South Rim. But some of them don’t know about this charming, booming town of Sedona, not too far from the Grand Canyon. The magnificent rock features are unlike any you’ve ever seen! Nestled right in the Arizona mountains, you’ll find many trail rides that you can walk or drive to allow the red rocks to indulge your soul. Since the town has been booming in the last few years, you’ll also find all of the city luxuries you crave.

4. London, United Kingdom

Now that London is open, you’ll be able to access some of the best features about this “bucket-list” town – pubs, museums and five-star restaurants. There are beautiful neighborhoods to walk around in, as well as some very exquisite places to enjoy a cup of royal tea. Be sure to check out Mayfair, or take in an awesome Broadway show, as they’re sure to not disappoint.

5. Perez Zeledon, Costa Rica

Most people who venture to Costa Rica look for the resorts at the beach, which isn’t a bad idea. However, if you can, try escaping to Perez Zeledon. This destination has over 150 acres of land for you to explore and have adventures on, such as a beautiful rainforest and a coffee farm. Consider having your breakfast by the river, going horseback riding, or checking out some of the newly opened resorts in 2021. You’ll be glad that you did.

Remember, if you’re looking to appease your wanderlust, you’ll have to get a little adventurous. It’s time to cross some places off your list and walk on the wild side. When you step outside of your comfort zone, you’re sure to find the spark that you’ve been looking for in life.
