Simple Ways I’m Improving Myself

Challenging Myself with New Sports

I’ve always enjoyed the outdoors, and sports are a fantastic way to make the most of your time in the open air. I’ve enjoyed a slew of team activities over the years and have even made steady technical improvements with the help of a personal trainer.

However, there are quite a few sports that I have yet to try but am interested in learning. For example, I’d love to try out cricket, or even rugby, but haven’t had the chance because they aren’t as popular here as they are in other countries.

Investing Early for the Future

Another way I’m improving myself is through wiser financial investments. I admit that, in the past, I was something of a compulsive buyer even when I didn’t have the money.

Although investing early isn’t something that most people would consider, it is becoming an increasingly popular option as services like Robinhood bring stock trading into the mainstream.  Even so, the majority of young people would rather spend a few hundred dollars on shoes and clothes than on long-term market investments.

I, on the other hand, will not only start investing, but will do the necessary research to thrive in this fluctuating market. It’s important to keep your finger on the dial to measure any positive or negative progress and to figure out the best times to sell and buy. It’s easy to lose self-control and splurge when your most recent paycheck hits your bank account—and I’m guilty of this! —but when it comes to larger sums of money, it’s best to formulate a clear investment strategy for the best and most sustainable capital gains.

Staying Hydrated Year-Round

Lately, my body has been telling me that I don’t hydrate enough—I’m always thirsty and have trouble falling asleep. I do want to drink more but can’t quite get into the habit. In fact, it can be quite challenging to consume the right amount of water consistently, even when you’re thirsty.

My goal is to improve my overall well-being by drinking more fluids; staying hydrated helps your body function properly and keeps you feeling well. To stay on top of my intake, I’m going to put flavorings in my water—that way, I’ll look forward to a delicious, refreshing drink rather than dread the plain, boring taste of H2O!

Taking Better Care of My Looks

I’ll be the first to admit that my looks haven’t been my top priority, and as a result, life’s anxieties have started to take a toll on my face and demeanor. Something has to change!

My plan is to invest in a new, stylish wardrobe that is all things modern and hip. Old clothes are a guilty pleasure of mine, but they aren’t doing my self-confidence any wonders! I also plan to get a haircut and might even try out new hair dyes or styling gels for an exciting touch.

Lastly, I’ve been looking into facial rejuvenation strategies, which includes trying out effective creams, moisturizers, and exfoliators that promote skin health. I also want to get a male facelift to take years off of my appearance.

All of these elements combined will create some visibly powerful results, and I can’t wait to look like a new, improved version of myself!

Cutting Negative People Out

Over the years, I’ve met a lot of people, not all of whom have been positive influences. My friends can sometimes be wonderful, exciting people, but I admit that I often skip our reunions because, most of the time, they tend to be toxic and negative.

Going forward, I’m going to have to make a choice between keeping my current friends and finding new ones, and I’m leaning in favor of the latter. Cutting people off might seem rude, but it will be for my own good. In the end, this change will improve my mental state and make it easier to be part of a proudly endearing social circle!
