The Warmth of the Fireplace
There is something so cozy, happy, and exciting about winter. I love the snow, the beautiful landscapes, and the sense of familial joy. I also love to curl up by the fireplace with a good book and a cup of eggnog or hot chocolate. What a way to relax!
My family does the same with me, and we have so much fun being together by the yule log. Sometimes, we even cook s’mores over the fire. There’s a reason they call them s’mores—they always leave you wanting some more!
It is so special to sit around a fire on a cold winter night and relax as a family.
The Season Gets Everyone in a Great Mood
Everyone is in a great mood during the winter, and I don’t know exactly what it is. If I had to guess, it’s that the holidays excite everyone. It’s thrilling to be with the people you love the most, and to be able to celebrate all the good things in life. Whatever the reason, everyone is in a great mood when the colder months roll around, which I adore!
Another reason I’m in a particularly great mood during this time of year is that I always get my bonus over the holidays. It puts an extra jingle in my pockets and allows me to buy a few more presents for my kids!
There’s Lots to Do in the Snow
I absolutely love the snow and cooler weather. I love to make snowmen and have snowball fights with my kids! I also love to take them sledding on the old wooden sled that we found in the attic a few years ago. It makes me feel nostalgic!
When I was a kid, I used to build awesome snow forts and have huge snowball fights with my friends. I’d forgotten just how much fun this was until I had children of my own! Now, we build forts together, hurl snowballs at each other, and have an absolute blast. I’m so lucky to have such wonderful people in my life!
Skiing All Day
For my whole life, I’ve loved going up the mountains in the winter. There’s something magical about being in the cold, surrounded by beauty and exposed to the elements. Even after so many decades, I still get the same sublime feeling scaling high peaks.
One of my favorite mountain activities is skiing. On my 12th birthday, my parents bought me a pair of skis as a present, and I learned how to shred all kinds of difficult slopes with them. I had the time of my life and haven’t stopped skiing since!
Why I Love Winter Outfits
I love how cozy it is to bundle up in layers of winter clothes! Long coats, scarves, and gloves are a must, and it’s a pleasure to put your feet by the fire while you watch Christmas movies.
Being bundled up is great for another unexpected reason. I’m getting a deep plane facelift with Dr. Andrew Jacono this winter, so while I recover, I’ll be able shroud myself and look inconspicuous. I can’t wait to fight the signs of aging and see a much younger-looking me!
All the Seasonal Drinks
My favorite drink during the holidays is eggnog. I love its creamy, sweet, and delicious flavor! I love eggnog so much that, when winter comes, it’s the first thing I buy at the grocery store.
I also love all the seasonal coffee drinks that come out, like pumpkin spice lattes. That stuff is amazing, and so is peppermint-mocha-flavored coffee!
